Welcome!
I'm Deb McCahan, and I love creating custom artworks that capture your special memories and stories. This guide walks you through the simple, joyful process of commissioning a piece that’s uniquely yours.
How it Works:
- Let's Chat & Brainstorm
Share your story, select meaningful scenes or images, and tell me what mood or elements you would like to capture. Whether you have a photo or want me to gather inspiration from life and take photos to work from — We can make a plan together. - Creating Together
I’ll share initial sketches and rough color studies for your feedback, ensuring the piece develops just as you envision. - The Painting Process
Once you approve the sketches, I’ll begin the final work, sharing progress photos along the way to keep you involved. - Final Touches & Delivery
After completion, I’ll share the final images for your approval, then carefully package your artwork for delivery or pickup, ready to be enjoyed for years to come!

What do other clients have to say about this experience?
From Mike W. who commissioned this painting in 2025.
This was my first time working with an artist to bring a memory to life - and absolutely worth it. Deb is a joy to work with and included me every step of the way, which I really loved. She always ensured I was comfortable with the painting and included my suggestions into her work. Honestly, it was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone considering converting a personal photo to a unique piece of art. The final work is stunning - thank you Deb!
